Lake Alfred Appoints a new Deputy City Manager; City Hall reopened
Lake Alfred, Fla. — The Florida Association of City Clerks released news that Linda Bourgeois, MMC, ADAC, was recently promoted from City Clerk to Deputy City Manager for the City of Lake Alfred. The Lake Alfred City website confirmed this change.

Bourgeois’ new role comes as the city closes out a stretch of change at City Hall. The building was closed to public meetings starting in early May of this year as renovations got underway, with all public meetings relocated to the Lake Alfred Public Works building for the duration. As of Thursday, the City of Lake Alfred reported that construction is now complete — City Hall is open again, just in time for one of the city’s biggest celebrations of the year.
The City of Lake Alfred applied for and received an America250 Grant to create a monument honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States. The monument will be dedicated at City Hall, followed by the Revolutionary Monument unveiling at Gardner Park on July 3rd during a 5:00 p.m. ceremony. Following the ceremony, the Musical “Hamilton” will be featured in the Park.
