Lake Alfred Holds First Citizen’s Academy Graduation
Lake Alfred, FL
The City of Lake Alfred handed out graduation certificates for its first Citizen’s Academy during it’s scheduled City Meeting on June 22. Both adults and teens participated in the six week course.
Residents attended the weekly program on Thursday evenings to learn about how the City of Lake Alfred works, meet the staff and workers who keep the city running, and find new ways to get involved. Participants also took part in planting trees around a lift station at Lake Alfred’s Mackay Gardens and Lakeside Preserve.
Aubrey Fuller, the Grant and Outreach Manager, presented the certificates to each resident for completion of the program. Fuller gave special thanks to Anaeli Quinones, who coordinated schedules and staff for the program.
Graduates received a certificate in a clear frame and gathered with city officials for a photo.
The next Citizen’s Academy has not yet been announced. For questions or registration information, contact [email protected].
