Lakeland: Red, White & Kaboom at Lake Mirror

Friday, July 3rd: Lakeland’s Red, White and Kaboom runs along the Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror on July 3 from 6 to 9:15 p.m., with live music leading up to fireworks over the water at 9 p.m. The event is free, but organizers ask attendees to bring at least one non-perishable food item to donate to Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE). Food trucks will be set up around the lake, so bring a blanket, bring your appetite, and plan to stay for the show.
A few things to know before you go: coolers are welcome but no glass bottles, and alcohol is permitted. Tents, pop-ups, and beach umbrellas are not allowed, though personal rain umbrellas are fine as long as nothing is staked into the ground. Personal fireworks and sparklers are not permitted at this event. Downtown parking garages and on-street parking are free all day on weekends.
