CSX Closing Old Haines City Lake Alfred Road Rail Crossing for Repairs
PUBLIC NOTICE 9/22/2026
Bartow, Fla. (Sept. 22, 2026) – CSX Transportation will close the Old Haines City Lake Alfred Road rail crossing located between Lake Lowery Road and Government Center Boulevard in Lake Alfred at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, for railway repairs.
All lanes of travel across the tracks will be closed until repairs are completed. The rail crossing is anticipated to reopen by 5 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24.
Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
