Still Looking for a Fourth of July Parade in Polk County? This One’s for You
If you’ve been hunting for a parade this Fourth of July, Resort at Canopy Oaks in Lake Wales might be your best bet in Polk County. The luxury RV resort is hosting a Patriotic Golf Cart and Scooter Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 3 p.m., and it’s open to the public.
The event is hosted by Resort at Canopy Oaks and its parent company, Sunlight Resorts. It’s a community-style celebration that fits right in with the kind of laid-back, only-in-Florida Fourth of July that Polk County does well.
Resort at Canopy Oaks sits on 400 acres off County Road 630. Amenities include a pool, spa, tiki bar, pickleball courts and a fitness center, along with a full calendar of community events throughout the year.
After the parade, there’s plenty more Fourth of July fun within a short drive. The City of Lake Wales is hosting its own celebration at Lake Wailes Park, starting at 3 p.m., with live music, a watermelon eating contest, train rides, inflatables, games and fireworks at 9 p.m. Admission is free. Just a few miles away, the Town of Lake Hamilton is hosting its Stars, Stripes and Sparklers celebration in downtown Lake Hamilton near 100 Smith Ave., with music, food trucks and family fun before fireworks. And the Town of Dundee is holding its annual Fourth of July celebration at the Dundee Community Center, with food, games, bounce houses, live music and fireworks at 9 p.m.
Make a full day of it in the ridge communities. Start with the parade at 3 p.m. and finish watching fireworks light up the sky over a Polk County lake.
