Southeastern University sees Record-Breaking enrollment for 2026 Fall Semester
Southeastern University (SEU) welcomed 15,136 students in total this fall, including nearly 2.500 traditional, on-campus students. SEU says the university saw record breaking enrollment for their fall term.
The largest demographic of students includes those who take SEU classes online and through more than 200 partner sites around the world. Lakeland has been the university’s home since it was founded in 1935.
SEU’s Winter Haven campus held its grand opening in April 2026, said Skylar Worthington, the university’s communications coordinator.
Southeastern University’s roots in Polk County keep spreading.
For Polk County families thinking about college costs, there is some good news. SEU states their tuition rates held steady for all students for 2026-27, and says 99% of its traditional undergraduates receive some form of financial aid.
“We are seeing more students choose SEU because we have remained committed to making a high-quality, Christ-centered education more affordable and accessible for students from all backgrounds and stages of life,” SEU President Kent Ingle said.
The university has grown by 4,602 students since Fall 2023. Back in 2011, SEU had about 2,500 students in total, roughly the size of today’s traditional student body on the Lakeland campus alone.
