Say Goodbye to Boredom: Free Summer Fun Every Week in Auburndale and Lake Alfred

Auburndale and Lake Alfred are keeping kids busy, wet, and smiling all July long with two free summer programs built for families who want something fun to do without spending a dime.

In Auburndale, Timeout Tuesdays runs every Tuesday in July from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., sponsored by local business 1st Class Roofing, Inc. The lineup is stacked, with inflatables, water balloons, animals, and even a fire hose day rounding out the month. Most events are held at Auburndale Downtown Park, 200 E. Park St., but the July 28 Fire Hose Day moves around the corner to the Auburndale Fire Station at 100 Ariana Ave. Parents, take note of that address change before you head out.

For more information on Timeout Tuesdays, call the Auburndale Parks and Recreation Department at (863) 965-5545.

Just a few miles down the road, Lake Alfred is running its own summer series, Thursdays at Central, every Thursday in July at Central Park from 10 a.m. to noon. The theme is water, and the city is going all in, with spray days, a foam party, inflatable waterslides, and water balloons. All of it is free.
