Winter Haven area drivers should watch for active construction on several state road corridors this week, with Florida Department of Transportation crews working on signal installations, sidewalk upgrades, and utility work through Aug. 1, 2026.
Projects span S.R. 544 in Winter Haven, S.R. 17 at Kokomo Road in Lake Hamilton, Recker Highway in Auburndale, and U.S. 17 between Bartow and Winter Haven. Most work involves nighttime lane closures, though daytime impacts are also expected on S.R. 544 Havendale Boulevard. See full list below.
